PC's Message

The innovative focus of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research’s ‘Farmer FIRST’ (Farmer’s Farm, Innovations, Resources, Science and Technology) is also the aim of the AICRP on Spices and it is working on enriching knowledge and integrating technologies for sustainable production of spices in India. The major spices crops like Black Pepper, Cardamom, Large cardamom, Ginger, Turmeric, Coriander, Cumin, Fennel, Fenugreek, Nutmeg, Clove and Cinnamon have enabled us to achieve dominence in the World spice market. The dedicated efforts of AICRPS should lead to appreciable enhancement in productivity and production of spices in the different Agro-climatic regions of India and to enhance our leadership in spices production and trade.

Let us work together to ensure India continues to be “The land of Spices”.
